See which calculation method was used for each purchase

You can now see at a glance whether each purchase's emissions were calculated using spend-based, supplier-specific or average-data methods, so it is easier to spot where your data could be more precise.

What’s new

In the Purchases module, every purchase now shows a label indicating which calculation method was used to estimate its emissions:

  • Spend-based: emissions estimated from how much you spent, using input-output databases (Exiobase).
  • Supplier-specific: emissions calculated with a custom emission factor, when you have data straight from your supplier.
  • Average-data: emissions estimated using other, non input-output databases, such as emission factors per product or per physical unit.

Why it matters

These labels follow the same terminology as the GHG Protocol, so what you see in the platform matches what auditors, reports and frameworks expect. It also makes it easier to spot where your data is less precise and where you could focus your efforts to improve it.
