We’ve rebuilt from scratch how Dcycle calculates emissions associated with water consumption. Results are now more accurate and you can see with full traceability how each number is reached.
What improves with the new methodology
- Water (Scope 3): we apply factors with all the decimal places published by official sources, and you can choose between DEFRA and Ecoinvent for calculating emissions associated with water consumption and treatment.
What this means for you
- Everything you upload from now on will be automatically calculated with the new methodology.
- We have already recalculated your 2026 data unless you have told us otherwise.
- You will be able to see the detailed calculation of the impact of your water consumption. We recommend recalculating even if the numbers change slightly: you’ll gain flexibility to choose databases, audit-ready results and full calculation traceability.
