What Dcycle covers

Scope 1, 2 & 3 Across the Value Chain

Dyeing and finishing processes are Scope 1. Factory electricity is Scope 2. Raw fibre production, garment manufacturing, logistics and end-of-life — that's Scope 3, often 95%+ of a fashion brand's footprint. Dcycle calculates all three per product, per supplier, or at corporate level.

Product-Level LCA & PEF

Know the environmental footprint of each garment — from fibre to finished product. Dcycle performs Life Cycle Assessments aligned with ISO 14040/14044 and EU PEF methodology, covering raw materials, processing, dyeing, transport, use phase and end-of-life.

Supply Chain Transparency

Fashion supply chains span multiple tiers — fibre producers, spinners, weavers, dyers, garment factories. Dcycle's supplier portal collects environmental data at each tier, building the visibility needed for due diligence compliance and Digital Product Passports.

CSRD, DPP & Green Claims

CSRD requires sustainability disclosure. Digital Product Passports will demand product-level environmental data. The Green Claims Directive means every sustainability claim needs verified evidence. Dcycle covers all three from a single data collection.

Frequently asked questions

What regulations are reshaping the textile and fashion industry?
The EU Strategy for Sustainable Textiles introduces mandatory requirements for durability, recyclability and environmental disclosure. Digital Product Passports (DPP) will require product-level data on environmental impact, materials and supply chain. CSRD mandates corporate sustainability reporting. The Green Claims Directive requires verified evidence for any environmental marketing claim. And the Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) framework makes brands financially responsible for end-of-life management.
How does Dcycle handle fashion's multi-tier supply chains?
Fashion supply chains can have 5+ tiers. Dcycle's supplier portal sends structured data requests at each level — Tier 1 garment manufacturers, Tier 2 fabric mills, Tier 3 dyers and finishers, Tier 4 fibre producers. Each supplier receives guided templates relevant to their process. Data is validated and consolidated into your Scope 3 calculation with full traceability.
Can Dcycle produce data for Digital Product Passports?
Yes. Dcycle collects the environmental and supply chain data that Digital Product Passports will require — product-level carbon footprint, materials composition, country of origin at each production stage, water consumption, chemical usage and recyclability assessment. When DPP requirements are finalised, your data is already structured and verified.
What about the EU Green Claims Directive?
The Green Claims Directive requires companies to substantiate environmental claims with verified, product-specific data. Claims like 'sustainable,' 'eco-friendly' or 'carbon neutral' will need scientific evidence. Dcycle's product-level LCA and supply chain data provide the verified foundation for compliant environmental communications.
Which brands and retailers are already requiring this data?
Major fashion groups and retailers — including Inditex, H&M, Kering and LVMH — are requiring supply chain environmental data. Department stores and online platforms are integrating sustainability scores into buying decisions. EcoVadis assessments are standard in fashion procurement. Dcycle helps suppliers respond to all these requirements from a single platform.
